Tanganyika District Council 60 Vacancies 2025, The Executive Director of Tanganyika District Council announces to all eligible citizens the opportunity to apply for various job positions as listed below:
1. AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN GRADE II – (1 POSITION)
1.1 Qualifications:
- Must have completed either Form IV or Form VI and successfully graduated from a two-year technical course in automotive engineering from a government-recognized institution.
- Must have passed the Grade II Trade Test.
1.2 Job Responsibilities:
i. Repairing and maintaining the Council’s vehicles.
ii. Assessing the condition of vehicles that require repairs.
iii. Providing advice on improving transportation services to ensure vehicle safety.
iv. Working closely with the Transport Officer to ensure proper maintenance procedures are followed.
v. Keeping records of all vehicle repairs for future reference.
vi. Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor in line with their expertise and experience.

2. ASSISTANT ICT OFFICER GRADE II – (2 POSITIONS)
2.1 Qualifications:
- Must have a Diploma in Computer Studies in one of the following fields: Computer Engineering, Networking, Communications & Electronics, or ICT System Maintenance from a government-recognized institution.
OR - Must have a Diploma in Computer Studies in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, Information Technology, Software Applications, Management Information Systems, Web Design & Systems Analysis, or Business Information Technology from a recognized institution.
2.2 Job Responsibilities:
Hardware and Network Infrastructure Section:
i. Inspecting and maintaining the quality of ICT equipment.
ii. Performing minor repairs on ICT equipment.
iii. Maintaining ICT infrastructure.
iv. Ensuring security measures are taken to protect ICT equipment.
v. Inspecting and identifying devices that require maintenance.
vi. Assisting users with ICT equipment-related issues.
vii. Overseeing the installation and inspection of new ICT equipment.
viii. Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Information Systems Section:
i. Inspecting the quality of software applications and information systems.
ii. Performing minor modifications on software applications.
iii. Implementing security measures to protect software applications and information systems.
iv. Providing technical support for system users.

3. ASSISTANT INFORMATION OFFICER GRADE II – (2 POSITIONS)
3.1 Qualifications:
- Must have a Diploma in Journalism or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
3.2 Job Responsibilities:
i. Collecting and writing news articles.
ii. Taking photographs.
iii. Preparing exhibition photos.
iv. Archiving photos and maintaining a reference library.
v. Preparing magazines and banners.
vi. Collecting various statistical data.
vii. Designing brochures and flyers.

4. BUILDING TECHNICIAN GRADE II – (1 POSITION)
4.1 Qualifications:
- Must have completed Form IV and a two-year technical training course in construction from a government-recognized institution.
- OR must have a Diploma in a relevant technical field.
4.2 Job Responsibilities:
i. Providing supervision and advisory services on building construction projects.
ii. Preparing monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual project progress reports.
iii. Conducting inspections of buildings and infrastructure at different construction stages.
iv. Overseeing contract agreements related to construction and infrastructure.
v. Ensuring compliance with construction laws, regulations, and procedures.
vi. Analyzing reports and construction data for various infrastructures.
vii. Preparing cost estimates and blueprints for upcoming building projects.

5. ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT GRADE II – (2 POSITIONS)
5.1 Qualifications:
- Must have a Certificate in Accounting from a government-recognized institution.
- OR must have an ATEC I certificate issued by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA).
5.2 Job Responsibilities:
i. Maintaining accounting registers.
ii. Keeping financial records.
iii. Maintaining financial document files.
iv. Delivering financial documents to banks.
v. Performing other relevant duties as assigned by the supervisor.
5.3 Salary Scale:

6. REVENUE CLERKS – (50 POSITIONS)
6.1 Qualifications:
- Must have completed Form IV and obtained a certificate in one of the following: Military Training (Mgambo), National Service (JKT), Firefighting Training, or Natural Resource Protection (VGS) from a recognized institution.
- Applicants with knowledge of using POS (Point of Sale) systems will have an added advantage.
6.2 Job Responsibilities:
i. Collecting revenue at various checkpoints and designated collection centers.
ii. Submitting collected funds promptly following official procedures.
iii. Ensuring all vehicles and goods are inspected for correct tax payments.
6.3 Salary Scale:
