In the manufacturing division, Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd. offers a fascinating possibility. For a maintenance manager post headquartered in Dar es Salaam, we are seeking a skilled candidate with relevant manufacturing experience and skills.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Asset Care
- Oversee and direct the plant and facility asset care strategy, making sure that training requirements and technical skills are met.
- Continue to adhere to the audit standards and the Engineering Change Management Procedure.
Plant Reliability
- Effective maintenance and support will guarantee the packing plant’s dependability and uptime.
- Put predictive maintenance strategies into practice and assess the standard of scheduled and routine maintenance.
- To address the underlying causes and stop recurrence, examine the types of plant failure and look into the reasons behind repeated failures.
Breakdown Response
- In order to reduce plant downtime, react quickly to malfunctions and equipment failures.
- Analyze breakdowns in-depth to determine the underlying reasons, put corrective measures in place, and stop the problem from happening again.
Plant Optimization
- Assess opportunities for ongoing improvement and suggest adjustments to maximize plant performance.
- Create and carry out corrective measures for plant malfunctions, and endeavor to upgrade machinery and procedures to reduce downtime and boost efficiency.
Team Leadership and Management
- Oversee and cultivate a culture of high performance, empowerment, and ownership within the Maintenance and Support (MAS) team.
- To guarantee team competency and multiskilling, conduct regular goal review meetings, performance evaluations, and training programs.
Safety and Housekeeping
- Make sure that housekeeping and safety protocols are followed, adhering to CCBA and legal requirements.
- Maintain an emphasis on health and safety by holding frequent meetings, audits, and safety inspections.
Budget Management
- Support the creation of the maintenance budget and exercise budgetary control over the needs for asset care.
- To guarantee financial efficiency, create and manage maintenance cost plans and CAPEX.
Maintenance Planning and Execution
- Make sure that maintenance plans and procedures are followed, maintenance packages are updated, and special tools are managed.
- MAS availability for maintenance days should be coordinated, and timely resource and spare availability should be guaranteed.
Skills, Experience, & Education:
Skills:
- The capacity to build the Maintenance and Support Machine Specialist team and successfully lead the asset care plan.
- Technical know-how to successfully manage predictive maintenance and plant reliability while adhering to engineering change management.
- Problem-solving abilities to carry out in-depth analyses, react swiftly to malfunctions, and carry out remedial measures.
- Analytical abilities to assess chances for ongoing development and optimize factory operations with recommendations based on data.
- Using cost plans, budgetary controls, and making sure maintenance operations are financially efficient are all ways to demonstrate financial acumen.
Experience:
- Qualification in engineering
- Eight years of expertise in maintenance
- Broad understanding of engineering and packaging
- Thorough knowledge of packaging systems, procedures, and operations.
- Four years of experience in line management
Education:
BSc. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
