Job Opportunities at Kibong’oto Infectious Diseases Hospital
The Director of Infectious Diseases Hospital is seeking to recruit qualified professionals to join the Integrated TB and Respiratory Care in Africa (iTARA) Project team at the Directorate of Research, Training, and Consult CVB Bancy – KIDH.
The iTARA project is a collaborative global health initiative between Imperial College London (UK), Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), and the University of Lagos (Nigeria). The project will be based in Arusha City, Tanzania and aims to investigate novel approaches to integrated TB and respiratory care in Africa using transdisciplinary research methods.
Pulmonary TB and respiratory diseases are closely linked in many low-income settings, sharing risk factors and clinical presentations. Despite this overlap, TB and respiratory services are often delivered separately. Over the course of this four-year research programme, we will assess the need for integrated TB and respiratory care, propose novel models of person-centred integrated care, and work with stakeholders to evaluate their potential impact.
