Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC) was established on the 20th of June, 1969, under the Public Enterprises Decree of 1966, Legal Notice No. 11 of 1969. It is now operating under the Public Investment Act No. 4 of 2002. ZIC is a parastatal organization owned by the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar through the Ministry of Finance and Planning.
ZIC is looking for a competitive insurance branch manager who will actively seek out and acquire new clients in order to assist us in growing our business. Building solid partnerships is the aim in order to secure expansion and preserve the reputation of Zanzibar Insurance Corporation. The company is seeking suitable Tanzanians to apply for one of the following positions:
Position: Branch Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and guarantee the smooth operation of the Dar es Salaam branch on a daily basis.
- Create and execute business plans to meet growth and sales goals.
- Develop and maintain connections with stakeholders, partners, and clients.
- Oversee, educate, and cultivate branch employees to achieve service and performance targets.
- Uphold excellent customer service standards and guarantee client happiness.
- Verify adherence to business rules, processes, and insurance regulations.
- Create performance and financial reports on a regular basis to track branch progress.
- Oversee and manage the branch team to make sure they are inspired and in line with ZIC’s goals.
- Create daily sales reports and any other reports that management may ask for.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, insurance, risk management, business administration, or a similar discipline.
- Seven years or more of experience in the insurance industry, at least three of those years spent in a managerial capacity.
- Excellent leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and lead a group of people.
- Demonstrated success in reaching goals, growing a business, and closing deals.
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and customer service abilities.
- Knowledge of the rules and best practices governing the insurance sector.
