Position Details
- Job Title: Branch Manager

- Reports to: Manager, Branch Network
- Location: Upcountry
Position Objective -We are seeking Branch Managers to oversee the operations of our branches. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction while ensuring operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Branch Performance & Business Growth
- Develop the branch budget and strategic plan to ensure profitability.
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities to meet branch targets.
- Coordinate branch goals with retail officers for annual objectives and sales campaigns.
- Enhance relationships with retail clients and expand the customer base.
- Regularly visit customers to ensure loyalty and satisfaction.
SME & Government Business Development
- Offer tailored financial products such as business loans, working capital financing, and cash management solutions to SMEs.
- Provide expert financial guidance to SME clients to support their growth.
- Identify and engage Government agencies at local, regional, and national levels for banking services.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Government officials to meet their financial needs.
Branch Administration & Compliance
- Maintain good public relations with Government officials and the community.
- Ensure full compliance with bank policies, regulations, and local laws.
- Identify and mitigate operational and environmental risks to maintain efficiency.
- Monitor operational procedures to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure sufficient supply of stationery and cash for daily operations.
- Conduct snap checks on cash, controlled stationery, and suspense accounts.
- Respond to audit reports and implement recommended changes.
Staff Management & Development
- Handle general administration of the branch, including staff welfare and leave management.
- Assess workforce development needs and advise the Head Office accordingly.
- Conduct periodic staff evaluations and facilitate training sessions.
Compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Regulations
- Conduct customer verification and Quality Assurance on account openings and KYC/CDD compliance.
- Maintain adequate records for identification, transactions, and mandates.
- Report suspicious transactions as per AML requirements.
- Train branch staff on Money Laundering Prevention measures.
Key Contributions

- Business Growth: Achieve revenue targets.
- Operational Efficiency: Minimize costs and maximize profitability.
- Security & Risk Control: Enhance overall branch safety and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 8 years in the banking/financial industry, including 3 years in managerial roles overseeing branch operations, SME portfolios, and credit management.
Personal Attributes & Competencies

- Experience in SME portfolio management.
