Position: Tax Accountant
Location: Moshi, Kilimanjaro
Reporting to: Finance Department

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file tax returns with the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) and ensure timely tax payments.
- Conduct monthly General Ledger (GL) reconciliations for all tax-related accounts.
- Coordinate communication with TRA and external tax consultants.
- Assist during tax audits and facilitate communication with tax auditors.
- Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive records of the company’s tax assets, liabilities, and unresolved tax matters.
- Address tax-related queries from TRA, customers, and suppliers.
- Collaborate with the Procurement team to ensure Customs and Clearing Charges align with legislation.
- Prepare annual tax calculations for financial year-end reporting and budgeting.
- Train internal staff on tax-related matters to enhance compliance across departments.
Who We’re Looking For:
- A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in Accounting and Taxation.
- A Degree or Diploma in Accountancy or Taxation.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- High level of attention to detail and a structured, organised work ethic.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in computer applications relevant to accounting and tax work.
