Position summary:
The head storekeeper will be in charge of making sure the stores run well. The Head Storekeeper will manage procurement procedures, oversee a group of storekeepers, and guarantee adherence to quality and safety requirements. Duties and responsibilities:
- Inventory management involves managing inventory control, which includes stock rotation, stock levels, and the balancing of recorded and physical counts.
- Make sure that supplies are ordered and restocked on schedule.
- Collaborate with the purchasing officer to acquire supplies and products as required.
- Create reports on inventory status and utilization and keep thorough records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, disbursements, and adjustments.
- Make sure they understand safety laws and best practices and that they follow safety guidelines when handling and storing products.
- Put policies in place to guard against theft, damage, loss, and other risk-related problems in the department.
- Oversee and lead a group of storekeepers while offering assistance, direction, and training.
