Job Summary:
The security manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of security operations within the organization. This includes developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the safety and security of personnel, assets, and information. The security manager will lead a team of security personnel, coordinate with external agencies, and respond to security incidents and emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures.
- Manage and supervise security personnel, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies and emergency services as needed.
- Monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control, and alarm systems.
- Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies, conducting investigations and preparing reports.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international security regulations and standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security trends, threats, and technology advancements.
- Develop and conduct security training programs for employees.
- Manage the security budget and allocate resources effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in security management, criminal justice, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in security management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, risk assessment, and emergency response procedures.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in security systems and technologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations.
- Certification in security management (e.g., CPP, PSP) is an advantage.
