Job Description:
The Safety Officer role at CSI Energy Group is crucial for ensuring the safety of the team, partners, and operations across all project phases. The ideal candidate will be vigilant in identifying and mitigating risks, leading toolbox talks, enforcing HSE protocols, and championing a safe system of work.
Responsibilities:
- Act as liaison between the Project team and internal departments.
- Conduct toolbox talks and enforce Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
- Investigate incidents/accidents.
- Champion a safe system of work.
- Attend all client-scheduled safety meetings.
- Provide guidance on safety procedures at project startup.
- Monitor compliance with engineering and safety standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure alignment with OSHA laws of Tanzania.
- Oversee and mentor teams on HSE.
- Train operations and subcontractor teams.
- Build collaborative relationships with site personnel.
- Prepare daily and weekly HSE status reports.
- Monitor and record usage of disposable PPE.
- Lead by example in HSE behavior.
- Stay aware of HSE performance and accident prevention initiatives.
- Adhere to company policies and all applicable laws.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

- Strong analytical and planning skills for safety programs.
- Decisiveness in managing HSE concerns.
- Effective team and relationship management.
- Competence in reporting and analysis.
- Excellent time management.
