Job Description:

Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd has an exciting opportunity in the Manufacturing Department. We are looking for a talented individual with relevant skills and experience for the position of Process Operator at our Dar es Salaam Plant. The successful candidate will report to the Team Leader Packaging.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Operating and Process Control

  • Operate the process area per work instructions and usage standards.
  • Perform required quality checks as per procedures.
  • Record waste and analyze trends to identify and resolve issues.
  • Review performance versus targets using control documentation.
  • Respond to upstream/downstream process triggers.
  • Follow problem-solving approaches and maintain housekeeping standards (5S).
  • Conduct flavor and size changeovers.
  • Support team members with task execution.

Maintenance of Plant and Equipment

  • Perform deep cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of machinery.
  • Execute autonomous and breakdown maintenance per schedules.
  • Assist the Process Artisan with on-shift maintenance tasks.

Quality Control and Analysis

  • Conduct quality checks as per quality procedures.
  • Record and analyze quality data, escalate issues as necessary.
  • Calibrate quality control equipment and analyze quality trends.

Communication

  • Participate in shift meetings and communicate effectively.
  • Use gap lists, shift handover books, and team review sessions.
  • Contribute suggestions and stay informed about plant updates.

Problem Solving

  • Apply techniques like 5-Why, quick fixes, and One Point Lessons.
  • Involve team or escalate problems where needed.
  • Participate in and support systemic problem-solving processes.

Continuous Improvement

  • Use control charts and trend analysis to identify inefficiencies.
  • Apply short-stop analysis and Pareto charts to streamline processes.
  • Record improvement opportunities and involve the team in evaluations.

Skills, Experience & Education:

  • Minimum Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing (FMCG preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High integrity and a proactive attitude.
