MARINE TANKS & TERMINAL PROJECT (MTT) – CHONGOLEANI
The Human Resources Office of Daqing Oilfield Constructions Group Company Limited (DOCG) informs all Tanzanians who meet the following qualifications and are ready to work at the Marine Tanks & Terminal Project (MTT) in Chongoleani, Tanga Region.
1.0 Position: Preservations Lead (1 Post)
1.1 Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Construction Management, or a related field).
- Minimum of 5 years experience in preservation management, preferably in construction, oil & gas, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of preservation techniques, materials, and standards.
- Familiarity with quality control and safety protocols related to preservation.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using preservation documentation and tracking tools.
- Position is open to Tanzanian nationals only.
1.2 Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement preservation procedures and strategies for equipment and materials in line with project specifications and international standards.
- Supervise and coordinate preservation activities on-site to ensure timely and effective execution.
- Inspect and verify preservation measures (e.g., coatings, coverings, environmental controls) to prevent damage or deterioration.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all preservation activities.
- Identify and resolve preservation issues in collaboration with project teams and contractors.
- Train and guide preservation personnel to adhere to best practices and safety protocols.
- Monitor storage conditions to ensure compliance with handling and storage requirements.
- Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure preservation standards are upheld during transportation and delivery.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure preservation compliance and continuous improvement.
- Prepare preservation progress reports and communicate updates to project management.
1.3 Duration:
- The contract shall be for a specific task for the entire construction period of the project.
1.4 Job Type:
- Full-time employment depending on the project timeline.
2.0 Place of Work
- The work location for this position is Chongoleani, Tanga Region.
- DOCG will provide accommodation for this position at the company’s camp facilities.
