Job Summary
The Relationship Manager is responsible for growing both Assets (Loans) and Liabilities (Deposits) from clients. This role involves advising the branch/department on business strategy, providing guided leadership to Relationship Officers/Bank Officers, and canvassing business from customers to ensure portfolio and business growth. Key Duties and Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:
- Proactively manage and develop effective client relationships.
- Identify client needs and recommend appropriate banking solutions.
- Promote bank products and services to generate revenue.
- Maintain and update accurate client information.
- Handle inquiries and resolve customer complaints efficiently.
Business Development & Revenue Generation:
- Grow revenue streams by acquiring new clients and selling bank products.
- Develop a deep understanding of clients’ financial needs and offer tailored solutions.
- Conduct KYC reviews and risk assessments for onboarding new clients.
- Oversee credit risk associated with assigned client relationships.
- Coordinate with Relationship Officers and the Branch Manager to optimize financial structures and risk management.
Operational & Strategic Responsibilities:
- Engage with stakeholders to maintain a high-standard portfolio.
- Make proactive client calls and respond swiftly to client requests.
- Work with Relationship Officers to enhance services and increase revenue.
- Prepare presentations for senior management on new business strategies.
- Ensure performance criteria ratios remain within acceptable risk levels.
Banking Operations Support:
- Accept and process customer deposits, issuing receipts and statements.
- Facilitate payments, credit accounts, and conduct foreign currency transactions.
- Balance cash and maintain accurate financial records.
- Open and close accounts based on customer requests.
Key Competencies & Academic Qualifications
A. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Banking & Finance, or a related field.
- MBA is an added advantage.

B. Required Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Corporate Banking.
C. Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong knowledge of MHB’s products and offerings.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to provide valuable and understandable product information to clients.
- Effective client relationship management and trust-building skills.
- Professional integrity, honesty, and consistency.
- Ability to balance dedication to clients with objectivity and independence.
