Position Summary:

The marketing manager, spirits role is pivotal in developing and executing both short- and long-term strategies for SBL’s spirits portfolio. The incumbent will work closely with the sales, customer marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to drive volume growth and increase the net sales value (NSV) contribution to SBL and EABL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of the SBL spirits strategy across the Tanzanian market, focusing on both off-premise and on-premise trade channels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective implementation of marketing initiatives.
  • Manage the profit & loss (P&L) for the spirits portfolio, overseeing budgets and ensuring optimal return on investment.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Build and nurture a strong spirits culture within SBL, fostering brand loyalty and customer engagement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing roles, preferably within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret market data to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
