Serving customers all over the continent, we have a significant Africa Footprint. Our East Africa practice includes Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, and Kenya. To join our IT Audit Department, the Tanzanian office is seeking an experienced IT Audit Manager.
Key roles and responsibilities
- Oversee the execution of a sophisticated portfolio of IT audits in collaboration with partners and directors.
- As part of financial statements audits, oversee small teams of IT auditors in the end-to-end execution of IT audits, assess controls, and ensure efficient scoping and timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery.
- Take charge of important relationships with internal and external stakeholders and guarantee top-notch service.
- Find ways to make money both inside the audit’s purview (such as scope extensions) and with non-audit clients in general.
- Make ensuring that teams’ outputs meet the highest requirements for quality and adhere to legal requirements.
- Junior employee performance management, which includes internal training and guidance materials distribution as well as coaching and development at the engagement level.
Academic/Professional qualifications and Experience:
- a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a similar field.
- At least five years of experience working in a busy setting in a respectable consulting or auditing firm or in a fast-paced team setting in the consumer markets, insurance, or financial services industries.
- possess an appropriate auditing or IT auditing qualification, such as a CISA, CISM, CPA, etc.
- expertise in overseeing the performance of intricate or varied technological processes and ensuring controls.
- experience doing IT audits for SOC1/2 reports and/or internal or external audits.
- good knowledge of standard business procedures.
- Outstanding reporting, presentation, and technical and business English abilities.
- Proficiency in recognizing and evaluating intricate IT risks and controls, connecting them to the broader business context, and effectively communicating thoughts to everyone
Personal attributes:
- Strong analytical, presentation, numeracy, and writing and vocal communication abilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other IT tools.
- An eye for detail.
- Team player with the ability to lead.
- Outstanding planning and coordination abilities.
