The Director of Geita Town Council has received official approval (Ref. No. FA.97/228/01A/25 dated 29/04/2025) from the Permanent Secretary – Public Service to announce new job opportunities.
Applications are now open to all qualified Tanzanians for nine (09) Driver II positions as outlined below:
1. Position: Driver II (9 Posts)
Main Responsibilities:
- Inspecting the vehicle before and after trips to ensure safety.
- Transporting staff for official duties.
- Performing minor vehicle maintenance.
- Collecting and delivering various official documents.
- Logging all trips in the vehicle logbook.
- Keeping the vehicle clean and tidy.
Qualifications:
- Completed Form Four (O-Level) education.
- Valid Class C or E driving license.
- At least one year of accident-free driving experience.
- Must have completed a Basic Driving Course from VETA or a recognized training institution.
Salary Scale:
- TGS B
General Application Requirements:
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen aged between 18 and 45 years (except current public servants).

- Retired public servants are not allowed to apply unless they have clearance from the Chief Secretary.
- Current public servants in entry-level roles should not apply unless authorized, as per Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30 November 2010.
