Position: Head, Ecobank Business Services
Reporting to: Head, Operations & Technology
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Job Summary:
The Head of Ecobank Business Services will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies related to Logistics, Procurement, Facility Management, and Property.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Performance:
- Provide guidance to management and stakeholders on cost-benefit analysis for projects.
- Manage and monitor project finances, cash flow, and maintain financial control.
Relationship Management & Customer Service:
- Proactively manage external consultants, contractors, and vendors/suppliers to ensure efficiency and quality service delivery.
People Management:
- Build and develop a high-performing team by driving performance development and coaching for increased productivity and efficiency.
Process, Controls, and Operational Performance:
- Oversee procurement, vendor management, facilities, property, logistics, and transport to maximize benefits for Ecobank.
- Manage physical security, protocols, record management, building maintenance, health and safety, and disposal of assets.
- Monitor service providers to ensure quality service at a reasonable cost.
Strategic Initiatives:
- Implement EBS policy guidelines on logistics, transport, procurement, vendor management, facility management, and real estate/property services.
- Enforce health and safety practices to minimize workplace injuries and hazards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional Certification: Certification in Procurement/Supply Chain Management from a recognized institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years’ experience in procurement, including at least 3 years at the management level.
