The Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS), on behalf of the Water Institute (WI) and the Kahama Shinyanga Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (KASHWASA), invites qualified and dynamic Tanzanians to apply for five (5) vacant positions.
1. The Water Institute (WI)
A government executive agency under the Ministry of Water, WI was established under GN No.138 of 22 August 2008 to provide training, consultancy, and research services in the water sector.
1.1 Tutor II – Procurement Management (2 Posts)
Location: WI Main Campus, Dar es Salaam
Duties:
- Teach up to NTA Level 6
- Conduct tutorials, practicals, and prepare learning materials
- Engage in research, consultancy, and community services
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement & Logistics, Supplies Management, or Material Management. Must be registered by PSPTB as a Graduate Procurement and Supplies professional.
Salary: PHTS 2.1
1.2 Tutor II – Land Surveying/Geomatics (1 Post)
Location: WI Main Campus, Dar es Salaam
Duties:
Same as above (teaching, research, and outreach)
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying or Geomatics
Salary: PTSS 10.1
2. Kahama Shinyanga Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (KASHWASA)
KASHWASA is a public utility operating under the Water Supply and Sanitation Act No. 5 of 2019. It supplies bulk water from Lake Victoria to various entities in both urban and rural areas.
2.1 Technician II (Laboratory) – 1 Post
Duties:
- Perform water testing and treatment analysis
- Maintain lab records and equipment
- Prepare chemical requisitions and reports
Qualifications: Diploma in Water Laboratory Technology or FTC. ICT skills are essential.
Salary: KSSS 3.1
2.2 Artisan II (Mechanical) – 1 Post
Duties:
- Conduct mechanical maintenance of plant equipment and vehicles
- Assist in accident reporting and material requisition
Qualifications: CSEE plus Trade Test Grade II / NTA Level 4 or 5 in Pump Mechanics
Salary: KSSS 2.1
