The Africa Social Security Association (ASSA) is a continental umbrella organization that brings together Social Security Institutions across Africa. Its mission is to promote, coordinate, and strengthen social protection systems through collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and innovation. ASSA is committed to enhancing social security standards across the continent by supporting the development of inclusive, efficient, and sustainable social protection policies and practices.
The Africa Social Security Association (ASSA), an umbrella body of Social Security Institutions in Africa, is seeking qualified and dynamic Tanzanian professionals to fill the following positions:
1. Social Protection Specialist
Location: Arusha, Tanzania
Organization: Africa Social Security Association (ASSA)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Security from a recognized institution
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience
- Must be a Tanzanian national
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Social Security information within the Association
- Initiate programs and strategies to advance the objectives of ASSA
- Ensure compliance with federal and state Social Security regulations
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of Social Security policies and frameworks
2. Information Technology Specialist
Location: Arusha, Tanzania
Organization: Africa Social Security Association (ASSA)
Qualifications:
- Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and Communication from a recognized institution
- Minimum of 2 years of working experience in the IT field
- Must be a Tanzanian national
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the technological infrastructure of the Association (online and offline)
- Manage and update the Association’s digital platforms and IT systems
- Develop content and manage ASSA’s social media handles
