Job Description:
Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) is seeking a qualified and competent Highway Engineer to supervise road construction projects in Dar es Salaam Region.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise conformity to contract conditions and specifications
- Review existing design and identify any shortfalls, advising the Resident Engineer during the construction period
- Identify and locate all beacons and benchmarks to enable the contractor to set out and construct works
- Inspect completed works to ensure compliance with technical specification requirements
- Prepare control charts of the main activities and a project master schedule, indicating both past performance and forecasts for completion, including time involved in each case
- Measure quantities of works satisfactorily carried out
- Prepare and submit detailed progress reports with updated costs of civil works to the Resident Engineer
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Project Manager (PM)
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Highway Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution
- At least seven (7) years of working experience in a related field
- Registered by ERB as a Professional Engineer
