Job Summary
TARURA (Rural and Urban Roads Agency) is seeking to recruit 57 qualified and committed candidates to fill the position of technician (civil). The selected individuals will play a key role in supporting the construction, maintenance, inspection, and documentation of roads and bridges under the agency’s jurisdiction.

Duties and Responsibilities
The technician (civil) will be required to:
- Participate in maintenance and repair of machines, equipment, and road construction, maintenance, and upgrading as directed by the Professional Engineer
- Inspect and report on roads and bridge maintenance works
- Train machine operators and vehicle drivers on mechanical awareness
- Supervise road and bridge maintenance works
- Measure and certify works for payment
- Undertake road inventory and condition surveys
- Perform in situ testing
- Conduct laboratory tests and monitor results and trends
- Maintain laboratory apparatus and equipment
- Prepare invoices for materials testing
- Prepare detailed site reports
- Document all maintenance and repair activities for machines, equipment, and roadworks
- Inspect TARURA buildings, equipment, and vehicles and submit reports to supervisors
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications and Experience
- Holder of a Diploma in Civil Engineering or Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in a related field
- Must be computer literate
