Position Summary:
The Advocacy and Communication Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing advocacy strategies and communication plans to promote MST’s mission and programs. This role involves engaging with stakeholders, managing media relations, and creating content to raise awareness about sexual and reproductive health issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive advocacy strategies aligned with MST’s objectives.
- Create and disseminate communication materials, including press releases, newsletters, and social media content.
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Organize events and campaigns to promote MST’s services and initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of advocacy and communication efforts.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in advocacy and communication roles, preferably within the health sector.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality content.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools and social media platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking abilities.
