Reporting to: Managing Director
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
As part of the senior management team at Ecobank, the Head of Human Resources will contribute to the development and execution of the bank’s business strategy by identifying, prioritizing, and building critical organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes. This role will play a key part in ensuring that HR and talent management strategies align with the bank’s broader objectives, ultimately driving sustainable growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Contribution: Drive HR strategies that align with business goals.
- Leadership & Performance Management: Foster a high-performance culture through effective leadership and talent development.
- Talent Forecasting & Planning: Identify and develop key talent to ensure business continuity and growth.
- HR Support & Collaboration: Partner with business leaders to provide HR solutions that support operational success.
- Policy Implementation & Reward Strategy: Ensure fair and effective HR policies and reward systems are in place.

Qualification & Experience
- Educational Background:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Economics, Law, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional Experience:
- At least five (5) years of experience in senior management roles, ideally focusing on generalist HR functions within large, dynamic, and multinational organizations.
- Collaborative Expertise:
- Proven ability to partner effectively with HR business leaders and functional heads to drive strategic initiatives and align HR practices with organizational goals.
