University of Iringa Selected Applicant List 2025
The University of Iringa was founded in 1993-1994 as Iringa Lutheran College, which offered theology diploma programs. In 1995-1996, the first undergraduate students joined a course leading to a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. They graduated in 1998, the same year Iringa University College (IUCO) became Tanzania’s first officially recognized private university under Tumaini University. In 2010, Tumaini University was rebranded as Tumaini University Makumira, with Iringa University College as one of its member colleges. In 2013, the name of Tumaini University Makumira Iringa University College was changed to the University of Iringa (UoI), officially becoming a recognized university.
