Welcome to our website, kibweta.com. In this article, are you looking for University of Iringa (UoI) Admission Procedure and Entry Requirements programs or courses offered for the 2025–26 academic year?

The Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Business and Economics, the Faculty of Science and Education, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Psychology are the six faculties that currently make up the University of Iringa. The institution offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and non-degree programs across multiple faculties.

Admissions Procedures:

Applicants must apply for admission directly to the university by completing an application on the university website at www.uoi.ac.tz or through the online application portal at www.olas.uoi.ac.tz.

Admissions Team:

The admissions team will be shown the shortlisted candidates by the senior admissions officer. Before admitting someone, the Senate will provide its final approval. If a candidate does not match the admission requirements listed in the admissions handbook, they will be notified through their application account after submitting their application. In order to get ready in advance, accepted students must either download the joining instructions from their application account or pick them up in person at the admissions office. There will be a schedule of fees and joining procedures.

Transferring Students:

To transfer from one institution or program to another, students can adhere to the procedures specified by Tanzania Commissions for Universities (TCU). Students are required to abide by all regulations, including submitting a release letter and a confidential report from the university where they were first admitted. Transfers brought on by discontinuation, poor academic standing, or disciplinary proceedings won’t be accepted.

Registration:

Selected students can only register after making the required payments as specified in the university’s fee schedule. By the end of TWO weeks following the university’s starting date, all students must have registered. If a student does not register by the start of the semester, they will lose the opportunity to register for that semester.

The university requires all new students to attend an orientation session starting the first week of classes. Through this program, all prospective students will get knowledge about the university’s campus, academic life, staff, resources, and policies.

Documents required for registration:

  • The original letter of admission
  • Original academic records, including transcripts, diplomas and their AVNs, bachelor’s degree certificates, Forms four and six, and NTA level four certificates.
  • For individuals who received their education outside of Tanzania, an equivalent NECTA certificate
  • Proof of tuition fee paid.
